CASTING REQUIRMENTS FOR BYE BYE BIRDIE
Albert(age 25-early 30's) Young man, President of Almaelou Music Corp. and a complete mamma's boy.
Rosie(age 25-30) Albert's secretary, Principle Dancer and Singer with a Latin fire.
Kim (age16-20) Very sweet and pretty, self possessed. Principle Singer.
Ursula (age 16-20) Hyper-enthusiastic friend and neighbor of Kim's.
Mrs. Doris Macafee(age 40's) Mother of Kim and Randolph, needs to have comic timing.
Mr. Harry Macafee (age 40-50) Father of Kim and Randolph needs to have comic timing.
Mrs. Peterson(Mae)-(age 40-50) Alberts mother....in every sense of the word. OVERBEARING!!
Conrad Birdie (age 20-25) A rock star and he knows it....think Elvis(the early days)
Hugo Peabody (age 16-20) Kim's boyfriend...an all American boy.
Randolph Macafee(age 9-13) Kim's brother...very smart...very cute.
Gloria Rasputin (age 25-30) Mae Peterson's choice to replace Rosie...a big broad, tap dancing secretary

Mrs. Merkle (age 40's) Ursula's mother.
The Mayor (age 40-50)
The Mayor's wife (age 40-50)
Charles Maude (age 40's) 2nd tenor of the male quartet
Maude's dishwasher-1st tenor in male quartet
Maude's 1st customer-Baritone in male quartet
Maude's 2nd customer-Bass in male quartet
Chorus
Teen Chorus (ages 13-20's) 10 girls, 8-10 boys will fill as various town teens.
Kid Chorus (age 9-10) about 5 (one per family)
Adult Chorus (ages 20's-50's) about 10-15 will fill as various townspeople.
THING TO REMEMBER: THESE ARE EVERYDAY, SMALL TOWN, APPLE PIE PEOPLE...ABOUT TO HAVE THE BIGGEST EVENT IN POP CULTURE HIT THEIR SMALL TOWN.
Come with a prepared song, does not have to be from the show, an accompanist will be provided. There will be a dance audition, choreography will be taught, you will be asked to dance in small groups.
