Nick is a single Italian-American from New Jersey whose retired parents live in Florida. However, both of his sets of grandparents are only too happy to stand in, taking care of him, managing his life and trying to get him married. When he is offered a dream job and is prepared to move away to take it, the grandparents begin plotting to keep him around. Who will run Nick's life, his grandparents or himself? This is a warm and hilarious family comedy, with universal themes and broad appeal.

THE MIKADO (operetta)
by Gilbert & Sullivan
AT WHITAKER CENTER
June 6-8, 11-15, 2008
Arguably the most popular of all the G & S comic operas, this story is set in the fantastical "Japanese" town of Titipu, where the much-feared Mikado of Japan has ruled it a crime to flirt in public. This hilarious and satirical piece of nonsense can be enjoyed by all ages. It contains many well-loved tunes such as "Three Little Maids from School," "The Flowers That Bloom in the Spring" and "Tit-Willow." Very English, very silly, and completely delightful-and in the public domain!
Rating: G - For General Audiences.
